Directions: Please color in each square as you complete the homework.  All homework is due on FRIDAY.  Also, parents, please put your initials on every homework page, indicating that you have checked your child’s homework.

Monday	Go Math Chapter 2: Lesson 1, pages 27 and 28 Bible: Study bible verse review: “Love each other, as I have loved you.” John 15:12 (NCV) (study every night)
Tuesday	Go Math Chapter 2: Lesson 2, pages 29 and 30 Spelling: that, to, with, mom, eat, look, can – write each word three times (worksheet attached).
Wednesday	Go Math Chapter 2: Lesson 3, pages 31 and 32 Handwriting: John 15:12
Thursday	Go Math Chapter 2: Lessons 4 and 5, pages 33-36.  Also review number words – zero, one, two, three, four, five.  Show and Tell: Student choice.

*Homework packets are due every FRIDAY MORNING.  Spelling test is administered every other Friday.

*Please set aside time each evening to read with your child.  Use the sheet attached. 

Second Homework Assignment and Class Dojo

Good evening parents!

I sent home another homework assignment, where the children have to practice writing their names.  First they have to trace their names, then write their names. 

Also, please check your child's folder for any papers I may have sent home Monday and yesterday.  I sent home a paper concerning Class Dojo. Please sign up and download the app to your phones.  This program will allow you to keep track of how your child's behavior in the classroom is going.  Plus, you will be able to contact me through Class Dojo if you have any questions and/or concerns.

First Week of School

Welcome students, parents, and guardians:  

My name is Ms. Williamson, and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher for the 2016-2017 school year.  This will be my second year teaching kindergarten (my first year was at The New Hope SDA School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and this will be my second year teaching kindergarten here at Mt. Calvary Jr. Academy).  

My goal is to instill a love for learning in my students so that they can become life-long learners.  But most of all, my ultimate goal is to teach students to have that burning desire to know and serve God in all that they do. 

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is very important to keep communication open between us at all times.
